Eclectones appearing on the big screen at the AXIS

LAS VEGAS, July 4, 2017 - Eclectones, a quartet from Chandler, Ariz. captured 4th place at the 25th annual Youth Barbershop Quartet Championship Tuesday evening in Las Vegas. The contest opened the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 79th annual convention.

Singing "Where The Southern Roses Grow" and "Back In Business" before a triple-panel of judges, the quartet earned a total of 1402 points for a 77.9% average. Eclectones consists of:

  • Garett Stilwell, tenor
  • R.J. Esquivias, lead
  • Mario Yniguez, baritone
  • Brady Larson, bass

They are students Arizona State University and Mesa Community College.

The top five youth quartets were, in order:

  1. Flightline 1449 points, 80.5%
  2. Ohana Means Family 1429 points, 79.4%
  3. Blindside 1416 points, 78.7%
  4. Eclectones 1402 points, 77.9%
  5. Brothers In Arms 1395 points, 77.5%
