Registrations are now open for the 2017 Far Western District Fall Convention, October 19-22 in Bakersfield, Calif. Early-Bird pricing is available until September 21, $50.00 for adults and $25.00 for students under 26.
There are many events that will be held at this convention: Harmony Platoon • AHSOW • District Board Meeting • House of Delegates • Past Presidents Meeting • Hall of Fame Meeting • Harmony for Lunch • Ladies Hospitality • AFWDC Late Show • District Quartet Contest • District Chorus Contest • Show of Champions • Afterglow • Hospitality Rooms • AFWDC Breakfast. There will be many, many opportunities to sing all weekend; we’ve even arranged to have designated “singing floors” at the headquarters hotel.
We are pleased to announce that the events registration system has been completely overhauled, making it much easier to navigate. There’s still a lot of information about the convention for your perusal, but we have redesigned the pages to use convenient “tabs” and “sliders” so you can still get all the information you need without have to scroll down for miles. For those who struggled with the cumbersome and confusing PayPal payment procedure, we have eliminated that, and have replaced it with an easy interface to make your payment through Square, directly on the order confirmation page.
It’s going to be a great convention, and we are off to a great start by making it easier to get registered. A reminder that all seats are reserved for this event, so the earlier you register, the better selection of seats you’ll have.
